To avoid the data leakage of any company and protect it from hackers (including data collecting software without notifying the user) we have a lot of technologies to follow and incorporate. However, what about a company’s internal data security? How can we protect data from being misused by any internal employee? Microsoft Intune is the best solution here.

Like Azure AD, office 365, Intune is a Microsoft product. Its main function is to manage corporate devices over the Internet. Using Intune you can increase the level of corporate resources’ (Mail server, Cloud data) security. If you integrate Intune with Azure AD, you can manage devices and protect corporate data easily.

Here Intune has the capacity to manage all type of devices including Mac machines, Android phone and iPhone. Intune provides a feature to protect data movement between Software/Applications in the device. In mobile phone devices, it is possible to restrict copy, store the data locally and even do a screenshot.

Functionalities of Intune

Device enrollment:

1) To access company resources via Intune, make sure that the devices are enrolled to Azure AD. It is also possible to control the type of device one would want to enrol. You can block access to corporate data or outdated OS machines over an Android phone.
2) Per-user devices can also be restricted.

Device compliance:

1) You can set specifications for a device to meet minimum requirements to access the corporate data (Example: Machine’s hard disk must be encrypted, Antivirus must be enabled etc.). If the devices are not meeting the security requirements, we could restrict them from accessing any company resources.

Device configuration:

You can have control over your company devices’ settings and even access to third party browsers (here google chrome). This also implies that Microsoft OS and Microsoft software tools could be controlled and managed along with other company tools.

You can deploy software into Windows machines or applications into Android and iPhone.
